Studying Biochemical Engineering on an undergraduate level at the University of Debrecen (UD) prepares you to be competent in all fields of biotechnology, equipped with a Bachelor of Science degree. We provide students with deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills - both engineering and technological.| The program starts in September of each year. | |
| All courses are taught in English; therefore, a B2 level English proficiency is required. | |
| Admission requires a high school certificate and passing entrance exams in Mathematics and either Chemistry or Biology. | |
| This is a 3.5-year program consisting of 7 academic semesters | |
| Students earn 210 ECTS in total (180 from academic modules plus 30 for the professional internship). | |

Please note that the BSc in Biochemical Engineering operates on a single-cycle academic calendar. This program only starts in September of each year. The application deadline is 15th June.

The tuition fee is 7,000 USD / year for this program.
This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
