The lifting of epidemiological entry restrictions means that, from Monday the 7th of March 2022, travelers can enter Hungary without the need for vaccination or immunity certificates, or any kind of test or quarantine obligation. Simultaneously, the lifting of the special rules of access for certain services and events means that vaccination certificates are no longer required for entry to indoor congresses or conferences, accommodation establishments, spas, sporting or cultural events, music and dance festivals, or outdoor events of any kind. The wearing of masks in public spaces is no longer mandatory (except for health and medical institutes - please make sure to have some masks in case needed), although some venues may still recommend their use.
Latest COVID information and updates can be checked at abouthungary.hu.
The Government of Hungary is now offering Covid vaccination to foreign citizens living in Hungary with a valid residence permit.
This requires registration, which can be done on vakcinainfo.gov.hu/registration!
Vaccination is voluntary and free of charge. If you register and approve further contact, you will receive instant information about the vaccine and what to do next. The order in which people are vaccinated is not determined by the order in which they register, but by their vulnerability to disease caused by the coronavirus.
