  • chemical, electrical and biochemical engineering courses, launched in response to labor market demands, have provoked a vast amount of interest in the recent years

  • there is a particularly large demand in the region for graduates with degrees in chemistry

  • recently, English-language programs have also been launched in a number of degree courses, with students arriving from more distant countries, as well


  • the Faculty has a teaching and research staff numbering over 200 (including 35 full professors and 6 members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences)

  • staff members are engaged in significant research activities both in Hungarian and in international terms, and actively participate in various professional organizations

  • the institutes of the Faculty have continuously expanded relationships with the corporate world in the fields of education, applied research and innovation

  • students can become closely involved in research projects by participating in student research circles and competitions, as part of their diploma projects or as graduate students in one of the Faculty’s 5 doctoral schools
