Engineering Management, BSc

The University of Debrecen (UD) offers a BSc in Engineering Management that provides comprehensive education designed to bridge the gap between technical engineering and business management. The program prepares professionals to oversee financial, human, and production processes within complex organizations. Graduates are equipped to manage operational functions and development projects, and are well prepared for both immediate industry roles and further studies at Master’s level.

Program Overview

 

The program starts in September of each year.
All courses are taught in English; therefore, a B2 level English proficiency is required.
Admission requires a high school certificate and passing entrance exams in Mathematics and Physics.
This is a 3.5-year program consisting of 7 academic semesters
Students earn 210 ECTS in total (180 from academic modules plus 30 for the professional internship).
The tuition fee for this program is 7,500 USD/Year

Is there an internship incorporated into the program?

Yes, there is a compulsory 6-week practice that needs to be completed in a related field

 

What are the career prospects after graduating?

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management is a versatile qualification that combines engineering principles with business and management practices. Graduates are valuable in industries that require both technical expertise and managerial or organizational skills. Some of the career prospects are project manager, operations manager, supply chain manager, engineering manager, production manager.

 

 

How can I enroll in the program?

Our admission process consists of online written and oral exams to assess your academic potential. We also offer a variety of academic scholarships and merit-based tuition fee discounts.  

What are the language requirements for Engineering Management, Bsc?

Applicants must have an English proficiency of at least B2 level as the program is fully taught in English. For your information, this is equivalent to:

  • a TOEFL test with a minimum score of 513 (Paper-Based).
  • an IELTS test with a minimum score of 5.5.

Please note, that you are not strictly required to have a language exam certificate, your language skills will be assessed during the entrance interview.

 

Is there an entrance exam for Engineering Management, BSc?

Yes, admission is based on a high school certificate and online entrance exams in Mathematics and Physics.

Please note that the BSc in Engineering Management operates on a single-cycle academic calendar. This program only starts in September of each year. The application deadline is 15th June.

How much does it cost to study Engineering Management at the University of Debrecen?

The tuition fee is 7,500 USD / year for this program.

This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
