Program Overview

 
The program starts in September of each year.
 
All courses are taught in English; therefore, an Upper-B2 level English proficiency is required.
 

Admission requires a Bachelor's diploma or higher. Credit points can be fully recognised from Mechanical Engineering BSc and Mechatronical Engineering BSc. Bachelor's degrees in engineering, sports science, medicine and health sciences can also be taken into account.

 
This is a 2-year program consisting of 4 academic semesters.
 
Students earn 120 ECTS in total.
 
The tuition fee for this program is 8,000 USD/Year.

What to expect during the program?

The aim of the training is to train sports engineers who are able to think independently and creatively in an engineering approach, to carry out applied engineering and sports science analysis and research, to design, model, measure, develop and operate sports, rehabilitation and physical education equipment, and to measure sports and physical performance in the European, world and domestic sports life. They are prepared to continue their studies at doctoral level.

Yes, students should complete a 4-week practice in a related field.

What are the language requirements for Sports Engineering, MSc?

Applicants must have an English proficiency of at least Upper-Intermediate / B2 level as the program is fully taught in English. For your information, this is equivalent to:

  • a TOEFL test with a minimum score of 547 (Paper-Based).
  • an IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0.

Please note, that you are not strictly required to have a language exam certificate, your language skills will be assessed during the entrance interview.

 

Is there an entrance exam for Sports Engineering, MSc?

Students applying to our graduate programs will participate in an interview where we assess their motivation, personal skills, and English proficiency.

Until when can I apply for the program?

Please note that the MSc in Sports Engineering operates on a single-intake academic calendar. This program starts in September of each year. The application deadline in the self-financed procedure is 15th June for the September intake.

How much does it cost to study Sports Engineering, MSc at the University of Debrecen?

The tuition fee is 8,000 USD / year for this program.

This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
