The Mechanical Engineering, MSc program at the University of Debrecen (UD) is about designing and building the machines and tools we use every day. The aim of the degree program is to train mechanical engineers who are able to work out, model, design, operate, control, and maintain mechanical systems and processes; develop engineering technologies and processes, new materials, and manufacturing technologies and apply them in an energy-efficient and environmentally conscious way; complete leadership, control, and organizational tasks; complete tasks in engineering development, research, design and innovation; as well as participate in and control national and international engineering projects.

Yes, students should complete a 4-week field practice.
Graduates can choose from a wide range of positions in the automotive industry, chemicals industry, construction industry, oil and gas industry, power generation industry, or rail industry.

Please note that the MSc in Mechanical Engineering operates on a double-intake academic calendar. This program starts both in September and February of each year. The application deadline in the self-financed procedure is 15th June for the September intake, and 15th November for the February intake.

The tuition fee is 8,000 USD / year for this program.
This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
