Is there an internship incorporated into the program?

Yes, students must complete a 4-week summer field practice.

Postgraduates may progress to a PhD or find employment in animal science research, lecturing, consultancy or other science-based sectors of the animal science industry.

What are the language requirements for Animal Husbandry Engineering, MSc?

Applicants must have an English proficiency of at least Upper-B2 level as the program is fully taught in English. For your information, this is equivalent to:

  • a TOEFL test with a minimum score of 547 (Paper-Based).
  • an IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0.

Please note, that you are not strictly required to have a language exam certificate, your language skills will be assessed during the entrance interview.

Please note that the MSc in Animal Husbandry Engineering operates on a double-intake academic calendar. This program starts both in September and February of each year. The application deadline in the self-financed procedure is 15th June for the September intake, and 15th November for the February intake.

How much does it cost to study Animal Husbandry Engineering, MSc at the University of Debrecen?

The tuition fee is 8,000 USD / year for this program.

This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
