See you at the Partner Information Day, where you can
- attend a comprehensive training about the University of Debrecen
- get acquainted with the city of Debrecen
- meet our team in person and get to know other partners of UD as well
- enjoy, relax and gain first-hand experience about UD and Debrecen
Practical information
- please make sure to you fill out this form regarding your travel details, meal preferences, etc., to facilitate arranging the event;
- we hope that the weather will remain nice and warm during your stay, however, the month of September can be quite unpredictable in Hungary (it ranges between 15-30 degrees Celsius with sunny, rainy or windy weather). Please make sure to pack some warm clothes as well as comfortable shoes for the campus tours and sightseeing;
- in case you would like to have any private meetings with director Prof. Jenei or other members of our team, please arrange it in advance. Mind you, our team will be present at the activities, so please feel free to approach them anytime;
- please make sure to keep to the schedule and always be on time. The bus must leave according to schedule. Please respect each other and be at the meeting points 5 minutes before the given time;
- your booking in Hotel Divinus covers the following*:
- superior room for 3 nights**;
- breakfast on 15-18 September
- use of the hotel's wellness and fitness section.
Kindly note that no extra services are included in the booking (minibar, on-demand TV channels, room service, e-scooter, etc.). Should you use any of these extra services, please settle your balance at checkout. Thank you for your understanding.
* Modified schedule! Kindly note that we have included a Budapest sightseeing tour as a cultural experience for 18th September, transfer and accommodation will be provided in Budapest for the night of 18th September.
** The actual reservation might differ as per request.
- Ms. Zsófia Stefán will coordinate your hotel transfer. The details of your airport pick-up will be sent to you a few days prior to your departure. If your transfer departure location differs from the original plan at Budapest/Debrecen Airport, please inform Ms. Zsófia Stefán and include your exact address. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Ms. Zsófia Stefán at zsofia.stefan@edu.unideb.hu.
Please be advised that guests arriving to Hungary before 6:00 PM will be served dinner at Hotel Divinus.
For those arriving after 6:00 PM, dinner will be provided on the way to Debrecen.

Morning: Roundtable workshop on 6 different topics
Venue: Ignis room and Foyer Exhibition Area, Hotel Divinus
Dress code: business casual
Please note that pre-registration is required for the workshop in order to assign the tables in each session.
You can choose 4 out of the 6 topics below and register to the sessions in order of preference. Each session can accommodate 8 participants. In case it is fully booked, you will see a note stating that you are unable to book that session. In this case, we ask you to rearrange your schedule.
- New programs for international students at the University of Debrecen - Dr. László Kozma (program director)
- Application and admission to the University of Debrecen and the Stuart system - Ms. Adrienn Gagna-Szakó (admission coordinator) and Ms. Réka Derecskei /Ms. Ágnes Szurmai (admission coordinators)
- Stipendium Hungaricum and Scholarship for Christian Young People - Ms. Mária Tóth (SH and SCYP coordinator)
- Marketing activity of the University of Debrecen – Focus on social media platforms and marketing campaigns - Ms. Dóra Mónus and Eszter Balázsy (marketing coordinators)

At 25-minute intervals, participants will be alerted to move to a different table for their next session.
Lunch will be served at the Restaurant of Hotel Divinus.
Afternoon: Main Campus Tour
- Due to limited space, we will offer a chance to visit the Faculty of Dentistry to the first 20 guests who apply. Afterwards, they will join the main campus tour.
- Our main campus tour will start with a pleasant walk through the lovely Great Forest to the Main Building, where we will tour UD’s hidden buildings and facilities.
- At the end of the campus tour, the bus will drop us off at Hotel Divinus, where you will have more than two hours to rest or do some sightseeing.
- We will host our Gala Dinner as the grand finale of the day.

17th September

Morning: Exploring Campuses by bus
- Our first stop will be at the new building complex of the Faculty of Engineering.
- Next we will visit the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Lunch will be served at Next Bistro.
Afternoon: Active Relaxation and Networking
- We will head back to Hotel Divinus, the expected arrival is 3:00 PM. You can choose to head back to Hotel Divinus, or the bus can drop you off at the city center next to Fórum shopping mall*.
* Please note that there will be no organized transfer back to the Hotel from Fórum. You can use the tram to come back to our evening event. Tram tickets will be provided to everyone.
Evening: YoUDay Stadium Show
Venue: Nagyerdei Stadion
Dress code: smart casual
- This is UD’s one of a kind, exclusive semester opening stadium show, not only for UD citizens! It’s magical and truly unforgettable, unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. YoUDay can only be described as an extraordinary show with a vibrant spirit and packed with unforgettable moments.
- Dinner is served for you as a VIP guest in the private Skybox of the Stadium.

En route to Budapest, we will stop at Szigetcsárda Restaurant (traditional Hungarian dining experience) for lunch.
Budapest Sightseeing Tour
You’ll have the opportunity to see and experience some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and buildings, first the Pest side of the city, and after check-in in we will visit the other side of the River Danube, called Buda.
Hotel Check-in in Budapest
You will receive an automatic confirmation for your hotel booking for the nights of 18th and 19th September in Budapest.
