See you at the Partner Information Day where you can

• attend a comprehensive training about the University of Debrecen
• get acquainted with the city of Debrecen
• meet our team in person and get to know other partners of the UD as well
• enjoy, relax and gain first-hand experience about the UD and Debrecen

Practical information

• please make sure that you have filled this form about your travel details, meal preferences, etc., to help us with the arrangement of the event;
• we are hoping that the weather will remain nice and warm for the duration of your visit, however, September month is quite unpredictable in Hungary (it can be 15-30 Celsius with sunny, rainy or windy weather). Please make sure to pack some warm clothes as well as comfortable shoes for the campus tours and sightseeing;
• in case you would like to have any private meetings with director Prof. Jenei or other members of our team please make sure to arrange it in advance. However, our team will be present at the programs, and you will have the chance to approach them any time.
• make sure to keep to the schedule and be on time, the buses must leave according to the agenda. Please respect each other and be at the meeting points 5 minutes before the given time;
• your booking in Hotel Divinus covers the following: 
  • superior room for 3 nights*;
  • breakfast on 17-19 September
  • use of the hotel's wellness and fitness section.

Kindly note that no extra services are included in the booking, thank you for your understanding.
* The actual reservation might differ as per requested.

• Ms. Zsófia Stefán will coordinate your hotel transfer. The details of your airport transfer will be sent to you a few days prior to your departure. If your transfer departure location differs from the original plan at Budapest/Debrecen Airport, please inform Ms. Zsófia Stefán and include your exact address. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Ms. Zsófia Stefán at zsofia.stefan@edu.unideb.hu.

Please be advised that guests arriving in Hungary before 6:00 PM will be served dinner at the hotel.

For those arriving after 6:00 PM, dinner will be provided on the way to Debrecen.

Program information

17 September

Morning: Roundtable workshop on 5 different topics

Please note that pre-registration is required for the workshop in order to assign the tables in each session.

You can choose 4 out of the below 5 topics and register for the sessions in the order as you see fit. One session can accommodate 8 participants, in case it is fully booked you will see a note and you will not be able to book that particular table for the session. In this case we ask you to re-arrange your schedule. 

• New programs for international students at the University of Debrecen - Dr. László Kozma (program director)
• Application and admission to the University of Debrecen and the Stuart system - Ms. Adrienn Gagna-Szakó (admission coordinator) and Ms. Ibolya Kun (admission coordinator)
• Stipendium Hungaricum and Scholarship for Christian Young People - Ms. Mária Tóth (SH and SCYP coordinator)
• Marketing activity of the UD – Focus on social media platforms and marketing campaigns - Ms. Dóra Mónus (marketing coordinator)
• Visa application and immigration requirements - Mr. János Borbély (Immigration Office)

At 25-minute intervals, participants will be alerted to move to a different table for the next session.

Afternoon: Campus Tour and Guided Sight Seeing in Debrecen

• We will start our journey at the Kassai Campus by bus.
• Our main campus tour will start with a pleasant walk through the lovely Big Forest to the main building, where we will discover the UD’s hidden buildings and facilities.
• The bus will drop us at the Hotel Divinus where you will have the chance to take a rest for more than two hours.
• Late afternoon a sightseeing city train will take you downtown;
• We will reach our final destination, the location of the Gala Dinner.

Morning: Exploring Campuses

• Our first stop will be at the new building complex of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
• After an hour-long bus journey, we will arrive in Nyíregyháza.
• Following a refreshment break, we will have a guided tour of the Nyíregyháza Campus, showcasing the Faculty of Health Sciences.
• We will then enjoy some cultural enrichment at the Sóstó Skansen, Hungary's largest regional open-air ethnographic museum. We will be part of the village’s life as we get to know the past by our tour guide, get introduced to different types of drinks offered by the nature, savor a traditional lunch prepared by locals, and test our skills in traditional craftsmanship for an entertaining experience.

Afternoon: Active Relaxation and Networking

• We will head back to Debrecen, the expected arrival is 4:00 PM. You can choose to head back to Hotel Divinus, or the bus can drop you off at the Fórum shopping mall*.

* Please note that there will be no organized transfer back to the Hotel from Fórum. You can use the tram to come back to our evening event. Tram tickets will be provided to everyone.

Evening: YoUDay Stadium Show

• This is UD’s one of a kind, exclusive semester opening stadium show, not only for UD citizens! It’s magical and truly unforgettable, unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. YoUDay can only be described as an extraordinary show with a vibrant spirit and packed with unforgettable moments. 
• Dinner is served in the private Skybox of the Stadium.
