EU Vaccination ID
Requirements for obtaining the official EU vaccination ID (DCC)
Starting from 1st July, 2021 citizens can request the EU vaccination ID digitally.
According to the Government Decree No. 366/2021, those who have been vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine approved in Hungary*, in one of the following countries may apply for the EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate once in Hungary:
a) Member states of the European Union or in a candidate state of the European Union,
b) Member state of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development,
c) Member state of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization,
d) Russian Federation,
e) People’s Republic of China,
f) United Arab Emirates,
g) Kingdom of Bahrain,
h) Member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Uzbekistan,
i) States listed in the decree issued by the minister responsible for foreign affairs in agreement with the minister responsible for public safety, and the result of which is verified by the passenger with a document in Hungarian or English.

In case you would like to apply for the EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate, you need to visit the Government Office (Kormányablak) in Debrecen in person and submit your request.
Please bring the following documents with you:
- Properly filled and signed request form
- Please fill the form below with your data, and our system will generate the filled request form for you (in Hungarian)
- You should print it and sign at "Kérelmet benyújtó személy aláírása"
- Copy of your passport
- Your vaccination certificate in English or in Hungarian that contains all of the following data:
- disease or agent targeted: COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 or one of its variants);
- COVID-19 vaccine or prophylaxis;
- COVID-19 vaccine product name;
- COVID-19 vaccine marketing authorisation holder or manufacturer;
- number in a series of doses as well as the overall number of doses in the series;
- date of vaccination, indicating the date of the latest dose received;
- Member State or third country in which the vaccine was administered;
- Certificate issuer;
The EU Digital COVID Certificate will be sent to you in a printed version and delivered by post. Please make sure you provide a valid address in Debrecen during the process.
