Student testimonials

Management and Business, PhD
Ratnesh Pandey, India
Personally, I am very inspired by the diversity at the University of Debrecen in terms of its population, students with different religions and their politeness towards each other’s values. The best thing about this university is that it offers an opportunity to meet people from all over the world and the way cultural diversity is incorporated into food, events and parties is incredible. And of course, apart from all the fascination and attractions, a student always needs time and space to study. The campus culture and other learning prospects are well-suited for students in Debrecen. “Personal space and a friendly atmosphere create a good environment to study.

Here at the University of Debrecen student life is more than education. This opportunity has broadened my academic horizon with new ways of learning and a global mind-set which will help me in my future life and decision making. Additionally, Debrecen is an inviting city and you can easily socialize in different cultural, community and networking events.

Studying at the University of Debrecen is much more than acquiring knowledge. Just during my first year I already made life-long friendships, got to play handball with the Medical faculty team and was able to experience research first-hand. The facilities are well equipped to fully deliver the lectures and practices which makes learning easier and straightforward. The community life and the support from the senior students are also a strong point at the University. I couldn't have chosen a better University to study at.
Chemical Engineering, BSc
Ademola-Adesina Mofiyinfoluwa, Nigeria
Studying at the university has been a wonderful and enlightening experience. This is largely due to the diverse population of international students which gives us an avenue to get to better know each other’s respective cultures. Also, the professors are ready to help any students who are eager to understand course materials. The school also organizes various extra-curricular activities like food day, when the different nations make their native cuisines for everyone to taste.
Doctoral School of Health Sciences

I have the opportunity to experience this at the University of Debrecen, which offers a wide range of courses, practicals and participation in in-depth research programs within a wide range of scientific domains. Moreover, Debrecen is a city where you can enjoy life: friendly, welcoming and it has a cultural agenda packed in frequent student festivities, artistic performances, music festivals and other unique events, with charming numerous sights and attractions to visit. An excellent choice to live, learn and love!

Discover UD

UD is Hungary’s oldest continuously running higher education institution (founded in 1538). Courses and education in general are based on practical and labour-market oriented knowledge far above the national standard. Partnerships with local and national companies ensure students have the opportunity to get an insight into business processes during their studies.
Loan and Scholarship opportunities include the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, Erasmus and several federal loan possibilities. Accommodation: students can choose to rent dormitories or private flats; student hostels are located in the campus area, and are primarily occupied by foreign students. Several University restaurants and canteens provide opportunity for students to have meals at the campuses throughout the year.
